Personal Series: Painting Cityscapes

This weeks assignment is to start a collection for a book that we will create later in the year.  My photography style of this collection is cityscapes and city life images liquified.  I hope to create images that capture the beauty of San Francisco as if they were painted.  Because this style is so time consuming and lengthy, I have only produced two photos this week.

  1. Good work Giv! These images are so cool! They definitely look professional. I can tell you really put a lot of effort into taking and editing these images. These are definitely my favorite set of images you've completed so far. Keep up the good work; I can't wait to see what else you create for this series!

  3. Giv,
THis is a great set of photos. I think that the cityscapes that you chose to capture have many varieties in color, that creates painting-lik features. THe colors are also great for contrast in the photo. Great Work!

  4. Give, your photos really prove that it's quality and not quantity. Looking at your photos for the first glance, I thought you took pictures of paintings! The way you edited to make it look like a painting is very beautiful. I love what you did with the sky and the mountains. Also, the colors and bright feel to your photos really brings out the beauty. Keep up the great work!

  6. Great work on this set Giv! I like that you focused specifically on an editing technique, but I think that you should try experimenting with different landscapes, maybe more urban cityscapes such as a straight photo of downtown (like no trees or anything) could be interesting! Good work
