My series project is based on the photographer Galen Rowell. He was an inspirational landscape photographer who captured his shots wild and up close, the first landscape photographer to break the staged shot style. In my project, I have tried to imitate this by capturing my photos by climbing.
Giv, I really like all the landscape photos you have. It must be hard taking photos in the city, but these photos are great! I love the lighting in each photo, I can clearly see the details in the picture which is nice. I think you should go somewhere and take pictures of bigger/wider ranges; try to fit more in the picture than just one object to look at. Good job and keep it up!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are great Giv! The landscapes are beautifully captured and I can clearly see that you must have climbed/used much effort to get to the place you were when you took the photo. Maybe you can try to get more land in the photos (kind of like the 3rd photo) to make it really hit that wow-factor. Amazing job!
ReplyDeleteNice work! I really like this set of images and they all seem to work well together. i really love the 3rd image and can tell you really got up there to take the image. My only suggestion would just be to try and capture more nature and less man-made influences or people in the images. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteNice Photos Giv! I think climmbing to different places and high up really has done well for your photos!I think that gives you more options for different, more angular and dynamic shots. I think that it was a cool idea to mix it up by taking pictures of urban environments, but if you are trying to carry on what the photographer you studied did, then i think you should just stick with pure nature. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteGood photos! You definitely achieved your goal. I think climbing was a good idea. There's a sense of depth that really works for you in some of them. Nice job
ReplyDeleteGreat work this week, Giv! Your work is definitely very similar to your photographer's, and the colors in the photos are very vivid and beautiful! Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI really like your photos. I especially like the pictures of sunsets. They are very pretty. Good job.
