In this weeks assignment, we were told to capture images with a one third subject and a two third background. This style of photography creates a sense of balance within the photo and also allows the photographer to experiment with angles. For the first five photos, I have them in black and white. I believe it brings a good sense of depth and strong shadows. I left the last photo in color because of its tones relating to its alignment. I feel that it is the best piece in this collection.
Giv,
ReplyDeleteYour photos are thoughtful. I particularly like the one with the hand. However your 3rd photo doesn't really showthe 2/3 - 1/3 perspective. Overall great work!
Your pictures are really deep and intense in a good way. I really like the one with Sasha and the mind quote because it stands out. Maybe you could not use black and white for all of them. Good work though
ReplyDeletei like how your pictures are thought out, but there are some pictures that i think should be cropped a little more to make the duke of thirds. Anyway i like your pictures a lot, good job!
ReplyDeleteI really like how dramatic your photos look. Your division of thirds looks really clear. Maybe the 4th photo could be cropped a tiny bit to enhance the division of thirds though. My favorites are the last two. Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteGiv, your photos are awesome. I really like the one with the hand on the bricks. it measures perfectly to 1/3 of the photo. Also I like how you kept the color for the last photo. Really makes it pop. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI love how dramatic your photos are. I can see a theme within this set of photos and it easily draws in my attention. I love the picture with the hand; you were able to accomplish the rule of thirds with that picture.
ReplyDeleteI love your photos! I especially really like the photo of the car, I think it makes the 'audience' of your photo curious about the time period of the photo since the car is antique. Overall I think you used the concept of thirds really well and keep up the good work!!
